What is a Change?

A change is a shift in a source’s behavior that MultiViz has detected automatically — for example a new symptom appearing, a new mode emerging, or energy shifting in part of the frequency spectrum. Changes are the building blocks behind priority: when meaningful changes occur, the source’s priority rises.

Where to find Changes

In the Deep Analysis View, open the Highlights panel (icon in the top right) and select the Changes tab, next to the Symptoms tab. It lists everything that has happened at the source level. Selecting a change shows the spectrum of the related measurements, so you can see exactly what shifted.

Active vs. inactive

Changes are divided into two groups:

  • Active changes have happened recently — this is where to focus your attention.
  • Inactive changes are older detections, kept as a reference so you can trace how the machine’s behavior has evolved over time.

How to use Changes in your routine

The Changes tab is the fastest way to answer “what happened here since I last looked?” during triage. Instead of scanning raw trends, check the active changes first, inspect their spectra, and then go deeper only where needed.
